RE: Greatest American Dog

Go to the shows websight and look at the bios for each person and dog. You will see that most of these people and their dogs are professionals. They are either actors or dog professionals. These folks and dogs were cast into these roles just like any other actor. If you think this is some kind of competition, you are wrong. The winner was cast as were the loosers. It is just like any other******show on TV. I agree 100%.

RE: Fuel Rants & Raves - Post 'Em Here!

Having done work with statistics,I assure you you can cook up a chart to show most anything. But fact is production still exceeds demand, not by a lot but does. ""Charge what you can get" is surely not "supply and demand". It amounts to robbery. Supply and demand is business between honest folks based on the honesty of both. What we are seeing today as evidenced by the "oh my god the black rag gang in Iran fired a missle" lets boost the price is crooked. Sort of like a business deal where one party has a Pistol. Final point IF demand exceeds production find me the empty storage tanks!! Thank you, " well said ".

RE: Fuel Rants & Raves - Post 'Em Here!

I can remember the Arab oil embargo of the 70's. President Nixon asked all Americans to conserve. America did. What happened? Everything went up in price because Americans were not spending and conserving energy, etc. It was a lose-lose situation. Adding taxes to the already burdened taxpayer is foolish. Adding more taxes to big oil would push up the prices at the pump and rich will still get richer. Larry G. The oil embargo in the 70's was a big farce. At the time I was living in a large harbor town with humongous fuel storage tanks. All the tanks were filled, and loaded tankers were sitting in the harbor with gasoline and diesel. The thing was, there was no place to put the Fuel. On the other hand you had to sit in line to get a few gallons of gas if you could find a station that had a little gas to sell and was open for an Hr or so. what you see right now is fabricated to benefit a certain few.

RE: XPS Tires on Toy Hauler?

Thanks for all the input, anyone know of a good Internet source for the PS Ribs? If you are a member of Sam's Club give them a try. By the way XPS Rib is the bet for your Toy Howler.

RE: Portable Sewer Tank Storage?

Boy I wish I had half as much room under my TT as some of you do. No way to mount anything under my Kiwi. Would love to put a sewer hose storage unit under the TT but will cannot find a location that is high enough and not cause issues with dragging. Hey the blue tote is as high as the sewer outlet pipe... Be thankful for your tall TT's.You may be right as far as not having room on TT, but if you look at my profile you will see it is a 5er and they usually have more clearance. for your sewer hose ,if you have a bumper you can strap a PVC pipe on it and stick your sewer hose in to it.

RE: Site is Totally Unreliable

Some of you folks harp about this site being FREE. The site is paid for by the advertisers and is free to the members. However, what makes this site valuable is the knowledge of the posters and the willingness of the members to help each other out. Without the posters this site would collapse and disappear in a very short time. I too get frustrated when I work on a post and it goes off into cyber space cause of a malfunction of the site. Further frustration is when a posting goes up and later disappears without any explaination from who ever removed it. It would seem only fair that who ever takes a posting down at least have the common courtesy to send a PM to the poster as to why a post is removed! Thanks You said a mouth full.:R

RE: Goodyear Marathons

That one sounds sarcastic. Not if you are in my shoes. I had seven GY Marathons disintegrate in two years, the pressure was always at #80 and the weight was #2500 per tire with steel valves. For the last two years I have been running Michelin XPS Ribs and haven't had a problem since. It is possible the GY's I had on my 5er were made in China and running them on the hot Florida roads could have mad it even worse. So if you think this sounds sarcastic, think again. If you had Marathons D's you put to much pressure in them as they are only supposed to have 65#, I have about 25k on mine and still good.:h 235/85/16 E rated max. pressure #80 2500 lbs of weight per tire loaded. In short those tires were garbage. It was not only the inconvenience, but also a major cost for new tires and damage to my 5er. If you never had any problems and you like GY's good for you, but there are many 5er owners that feel different.

RE: Goodyear Marathons

Goodyear Marathons are very, very good trailer tires. Keep them full of air, and as long as you don't pull over 65mph you will be in great shape. P.S. The 65mph applies to any trailer tire, not just Marathons. It should have the max mph stamped on the side walls. I hope you're right. I just picked up my right and it has Marathons... Made in China. My Heart bleeds for you. That one sounds sarcastic. Not if you are in my shoes. I had seven GY Marathons disintegrate in two years, the pressure was always at #80 and the weight was #2500 per tire with steel valves.
